Version 1.0 - effective 31 August 2026

Commercial licence

This licence governs use of the Production FastAPI SaaS Starter source code, documentation, examples and release files supplied with a paid order.

Parties

The licence is between DRJS Software & Consulting Ltd (the Licensor) and the person or legal entity identified in the order (the Licensee). The plan identified in the order controls the grant.

Licence grants

  • Individual: one named developer may use the Starter for private products owned and controlled by the Licensee.
  • Team: up to ten developers employed or directly contracted by one Licensee entity may use it for that entity's private products.
  • Agency: up to twenty-five developers employed or directly contracted by one Licensee entity may use it for the entity's own private products and bespoke products created for clients.

Within the applicable developer and client limits, the Licensee may create, modify, host, operate and sell access to an unlimited number of end products. A deployed service, compiled application or substantially customised customer product may be provided to end users.

Agency client delivery

An Agency Licensee may deliver source code for a substantially customised end product to the client for whom it was created only under a written agreement that limits use of the embedded Starter to that end product, prohibits extraction or reuse as a template, and gives no right to build additional products from it. A client needing reusable rights must obtain its own licence.

Restrictions

The Licensee must not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish or make the Starter available as a boilerplate, template, source library, course download or competing product; share release files, repository access or licence keys outside the authorised team; create a product whose primary value is generating substantially the same boilerplate; remove ownership notices; or use it unlawfully.

Ownership and third-party software

The Licensor retains ownership of the Starter. The Licensee owns its original product code, branding, content and modifications, subject to rights in the underlying Starter. Dependencies and third-party materials remain governed by their respective licences. A separately licensed Lite distribution is governed by the licence attached to those Lite files.

Duration, updates and support

The licence is perpetual for the delivered version unless terminated for material breach. Future versions, private repository access, updates and support are included only for the period and plan stated on the product page or order confirmation. Licence keys verify entitlement and must not be shared.

Termination

The licence terminates if the Licensee materially breaches it and does not remedy a remediable breach within 14 days after written notice. The Licensee must then stop new use and delete undistributed copies. Lawfully distributed end products may continue to operate, but no new development or distribution using the Starter is permitted.

Warranty and liability

The Starter is a development foundation, not a managed service or a promise of product-specific legal, security, accessibility, tax or regulatory compliance. The Licensee is responsible for review, configuration, testing, deployment, monitoring and backups.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, the Starter is supplied as available and the Licensor is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, revenue, data or business interruption. Aggregate liability connected with the Starter will not exceed the amount paid for the relevant licence in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Purchases and general terms

Checkout provider / merchant of record: to be confirmed before sales open. Once appointed, the provider identified at checkout and its buyer terms will govern payment, tax, receipts, cancellation and payment refunds to the extent stated there. This licence governs software use. It may not be assigned except with a genuine transfer of substantially all business or assets, written notice and transferee acceptance. It is governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections.

Questions and formal notices can be initiated through the DRJS contact route.
